Ibiza Convention Bureau attends the Meetings Industry Conference and Spain Convention Bureau Annual Assembly
The Ibiza Convention Bureau (ICB) took part in the Meetings Industry Conference and the Spain Convention Bureau Annual Assembly, held from 3 to 5 June in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The event brought together convention bureaux, destination representatives and industry professionals to discuss the future of the MICE sector and the strategies that will shape the continued growth of Spain as a leading meetings destination.
Held under the theme "Inspiring Emotion to Humanise", the conference highlighted the importance of people, collaboration and the lasting legacy that meetings and events can create for destinations, communities and businesses.
Throughout the programme, participants explored key topics including the evolving role of Convention Bureaux, new approaches to measuring the economic, social and environmental impact of events, and the importance of shared intelligence, governance and collaboration among all stakeholders involved in destination management.
The Annual Assembly also provided an opportunity to review the network's achievements and discuss its strategic priorities for the coming years, with a strong focus on strengthening the international positioning of Spanish destinations in key MICE markets.
For the Ibiza Convention Bureau, participating in national industry forums is an important way to exchange knowledge, identify best practices and strengthen relationships with other destinations and event professionals. Continuous collaboration helps ensure that Ibiza remains competitive and aligned with the evolving needs of meeting planners, associations and corporate clients.
By actively engaging in initiatives led by the Spain Convention Bureau, Ibiza continues to reinforce its reputation as one of the Mediterranean's leading destinations for meetings, conferences, incentive travel and corporate events, offering high-quality infrastructure, experienced local partners and memorable experiences for business events.
The Ibiza Convention Bureau would like to thank the Spain Convention Bureau and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for hosting this valuable gathering, which continues to foster collaboration and drive the future development of the meetings industry in Spain.
