German companies take part in fam trip to Ibiza

A group of 9 German companies took part in a familiarisation trip to Ibiza from 25 to 27 October, giving them the chance to discover first-hand the range of options offered by the island as a venue for meetings, conventions, incentives and other types of event. The agents involved were also accompanied by a representative from the Spanish Tourism Office in Berlin.

The trip itinerary included an original route around the island, allowing the guests to discover some of the key features of interest, with a succession of events including craft workshops for both the local herb liqueur and aloe vera. The delegates also discovered some of the island's substantial cultural offering, with a dramatised tour of Dalt Vila, the old town of Ibiza's capital, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The fam trip likewise fostered contact with providers specialising in the MICE sector on Ibiza thanks to the workshop staged on the 25th at the Ibiza Congress Centre, attended by 15 member firms of the Ibiza Convention Bureau, and which also featured a destination presentation courtesy of Ibiza's Regional Minister of Tourism, Carmen Ferrer.
