Hotel Riomar holds several sustainability-related certifications and recognitions, including Plastic Free, Carbon Footprint, a Circularity Plan, and, most recently, the Green Key certification. These initiatives demonstrate its commitment to reducing its environmental impact and managing resources responsibly.
Green Key is an internationally recognised environmental certification for tourism establishments, managed internationally by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and, in Spain, by the Association of Environmental Education and Consumer Protection (ADEAC). The certification recognises establishments that meet rigorous sustainability and environmental responsibility criteria, incorporating best practices in areas such as water and energy consumption, waste management, operational efficiency, staff training, and guest awareness.
The addition of the Green Key certification further strengthens Hotel Riomar’s commitment to increasingly sustainable and responsible management, aligned with a forward-looking vision based on continuous improvement and respect for our environment.
