Events agencies from Belgium take part in a workshop on Ibiza and discover the island as a MICE destination

The agency BBT Online, a MICE sector specialist in the Benelux region, held its tenth B2B meeting on the island of Ibiza from 28 to 30 August. This was the first time the agency had organised one of its professional events outside Belgium and it chose Ibiza because of the interest the island arouses among Belgian agencies specialising in events and incentives.

The event was attended by 15 of Belgium's top MICE agencies and, for the majority, this was the first time they had setfoot on Ibiza. All the agencies took away a very positive impression of the island as a corporate events destination.

During their stay on Ibiza, in addition to the B2B meeting with international suppliers, participants had the chance to see for themselves some of the activities that can be included in corporate programmes. Their schedule included an excursion to get some great views of Ibiza from the sea and a jeep trip around the north part of the island, where they also attended a workshop on Ibiza's famous herb liqueur. The island's hippie heart was also showcased during the trip, with a tour aboard vintage 2CV cars.

Ibiza Convention Bureau took part in the event, making the most of the opportunity to tell all the agencies attending about Ibiza's advantages and new features as a meetings and events destination, plus the services provided by the Convention Bureau to support any kind of event held on the island.
