Dutch event agencies discover Ibiza

Ibiza was the location for promotional events aimed at the Dutch meetings and events market, between 16 and 19 April.

It is an event organised by the Spain Convention Bureau, the national association which encompasses over 50 destinations in Spain with the facilities to organise events. The Spanish Tourist Office in Holland also participated.

The event was attended by more than twenty Dutch agencies specialising in organising conferences, conventions and incentives, who were looking for new destinations and locations for their events. A further 9 Convention Bureaus from other Spanish locations also participated.

As well as holding business meetings, the programme has allowed the participants to try some of the activities that can be organised for corporate groups, such as visits to Ibiza's historic old town (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a drum circle workshop or a hippy tour in 2CV cars.

The Ibiza Convention Bureau hopes to boost the excellent direct flight routes available between the Netherlands and Ibiza in order to encourage events on the island.
