The Ibiza Convention Bureau celebrates its fifth anniversary

The Ibiza Convention Bureau has organised an event to celebrate its five years of existence, specializing in the promotion of Ibiza as a MICE destination. To commemorate these five years of hard work, the ICB invited more than 60 people to an event that took place in El Hotel Pachá in Ibiza.

Guests included associated members and other companies from the island's tourist industry. The evening also attracted representatives from the world of politics such as the Island's Director of Tourism and tourism chiefs in the island's different town halls. The Chairman of the Ibiza Convention Bureau, René Hoeltschl, emphasised the growth that this corporate lobby has achieved over the past 5 years – from the original 27 companies with which it began, it now comprises 45 partners from the private sector. The Ibiza Convention Bureau wants to continue to grow, and is determined to add new products to its portfolio of services, and, above all, to create a seal of quality for the destination.

The Ibiza Convention Bureau promotes Ibiza well beyond its traditional image as a holiday destination. It is committed to meeting and events tourism, which is helping to extend the tourist seasons on the island by attracting groups of visitors outside the main summer months. This segment has increased its economic impact on the island and is expected to continue growing in the years to come.
