The Ibiza Convention Bureau organises several fam trips for agencies from the United Kingdom and Italy

During October, events agencies from the UK and Italy visited Ibiza on familiarisation trips organised by the Ibiza Convention Bureau (ICB). Events such as this provide the ICB with a direct method of marketing what the island has to offer tourists.

The first group, from the UK, visited the island from 6 to 8 October, and included representatives from 8 events agencies based in the UK. They were accompanied by a representative from the London Spanish Tourism Office, which was a partner in the organisation of the event.

 

The visit by the Italian group, consisting of representatives of 7 events agencies from Milan, Bologna and Rome, took place from 17 to 20 October. For this trip, the Ibiza Convention Bureau received support from the Spanish Tourist Office in Milan.

The programme enabled both groups to visit facilities and venues for events on the island, and to experience some corporate events, such as water sports, an Ibizan herb workshop, a jeep tour and a DJ workshop. They also had the opportunity to explore part of the island's cultural heritage with a visit to the Dalt Vila (Ibiza's Old Town).

In addition, the Ibiza Convention Centre organised a programme of events for its associated companies which allowed all these potential clients to meet a good range of local suppliers for events.
