The Ibiza Convention Bureau (ICB) is again holding live events
The Ibiza Convention Bureau is once again organising live events, having held its first networking event for members on 30 June, after months of disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For this particular event, Ibiza Convention Bureau travelled to the neighbouring island of Formentera, where a session for around thirty of its members was hosted by the Gecko Hotel and Beach Club. The Convention Bureau had planned to hold an internal event at this same venue during April, to celebrate World MICE Day. Unfortunately, this event, like many others, could not go ahead, and so the Convention Bureau joined the #postponedontcancel trend, delaying the meeting until circumstances meant it could go ahead.
During the day, those attending were able to see for themselves the facilities of the Gecko Hotel & Beach Club, a venue that also belongs to the ICB. Its exclusive seafront location and its modern and elegant facilities, the restaurant, and most of all, the palm tree lined garden affording spectacular views of the sea make Gecko Beach Club the perfect venue for all kinds of events.
The meeting, complete with all new safety measures and protocols, was an opportunity for members to get together (face-to-face, at last!) and discuss, share experiences, and analyse the current situation in a pleasant, informal setting — and, as usual, to attempt to find synergies among the member businesses with the aim of promoting the destination for corporate events.
